Description of CPA Executive Board positions:

PRESIDENT-ELECT:  He/She shall assist the President, and shall perform the duties of the President in His/Her absence.  In the event the President shall not serve out his/her term, the President-Elect shall become President and complete the unexpired term.  He/she shall hold office for a term of one year.

SECRETARY:  He/She shall keep all the records of all the meetings, notify the members of meetings, insure that an up-to-date list of members and Affiliates is maintained, conduct official correspondence of the Asociation, and perform all other duties of the Secretary.  He/she will hold office for a term of two (2) years.

TREASURER:  He/she shall prepare a budget for the year with the approval of the Board of Trustees, have responsibility for all money due to the Association, maintain adequate accounts, present financial report at the Annual Meeting, and perform all other duties of the Treasurer.  He/she shall hold office for a term of two (2) years.

TRUSTEE-AT-LARGE:  The term shall begin on January first of the year following the election.  He/she shall serve on the Board of Trustees for a term of three (3) years.

CLEVELAND PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION STUDENT RESEARCH POSTER SESSION CALL FOR ABSTRACTS Undergraduate and graduate psychology investigators are invited to submit abstracts for the Third Annual Cleveland Psychological Association Student Research Poster Session. Abstracts will be accepted until MARCH 16, 2012 AND CAN BE SUBMITTED TO ASHTONK@CCF.ORG. Accepted posters will be invited to present their work at a CPA program on Saturday, April 28th. Abstracts will be judged on scientific merit, originality/contribution to the field, and clarity of communication. MERITORIOUS ABSTRACTS WILL BE SELECTED FOR HONORS, AND PRESENTERS WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR FREE STUDENT MEMBERSHIPS. Please call or e-mail Kathleen Ashton (ashtonk@ccf.org [1] or 216-444-3438) with any questions. * First Authors must be undergraduate or graduate students. * You may submit as many abstracts as you wish. However, only a limited number may be chosen. * The work described in the abstract MAY have been published or presented elsewhere within the past 12 months. * Abstracts should be written to allow a general audience to understand the main purpose of your study and the importance of your findings. * Please limit abstracts to 300 words. * RESEARCH PROPOSALS ARE ACCEPTABLE; the forum should be a good place to get feedback from experienced psychologists in the field on research topics.
